During this free summer camp, students will receive breakfast, lunch, reading and math tutoring, and science instruction. Students who live within walking distance are free to join our “walking school bus” in which adult volunteers come through the neighborhood picking up students to walk to school together.
Saturday, June 29, we will hold an old-fashioned science fair and popsicles in the park providing students with the opportunity to display completed science projects. Weekly science “builds” or projects will include pressure rockets, robotic critters, loop planes, and live animal interactions from Great Plains Nature Center. Students will be accepted based on teacher/staff recommendation.
