We know that serving helps us grow in our faith while giving us a sense of belonging. We want to help you find your place for serving and provide opportunities to maximize your skills and abilities.

Family Promise works with local churches and charities to provide for families in need. They assist with food, clothes, housing, transportation and more.
Approximately once every three months, Riverside Christian Church partners as a host site for one week. During this time, we offer safe overnight accommodations for families, provide evening meals and snacks, and arrange transportation to the Family Promise Day House. The Day House is a supportive space where families can shower, do laundry, access the internet, and participate in life‑skills training.
Sign up for the next Family Promise host week by creating an account with Virtuous Volunteer (VOMO).
Justice Together is a network of more than 35 faith organizations who have come together to launch Sedgwick County’s first of its kind, multifaith justice organization. We look to scripture for inspiration in fulfilling God’s call to “do justice” and Nehemiah 5 shows us the power of a great assembly of people, united to do justice together! The priorities are to address affordable housing and homelessness.
Members of our congregation are helping lead listening sessions that help determine new initiatives for Justice Together leaders. Many more members attend the annual Nehemiah rallies to lend support for the proposed intiatives. Committed city and county leaders who influence the budgets needed to support new programs attend these rallies.
There have been significant accomplishements since starting this collaborative effort in January 2023!
Micah 6:8
He has told you, O mortal, what is good,
and what does the Lord require of you
but to do justice and to love kindness
and to walk humbly with your God?
